Bouda
Bouda is absolutely adorable and tends to be most children’s favourite due to her affectionate nature. Although she is initially aloof, she quickly warms to guests when told to do so. She is possibly the swiftest and most agile of the alano’s and is usually a blur dashing past you unnervingly close, though with great precision. She has superb reactions and is exceedingly difficult to catch off guard. She is very terrier like in personality and adores a rugged game of tug with an old rope with a cheeky twinkle in her eye and copious mock growling. Bouda is a remarkable jumper and has jumped a 6ft+ fence from a stand still on several occasions. On one occasion she jumped / ran 7-8ft up an oak tree whilst chasing a squirrel in our woodland. She is infatiguable and characteristically full of mischief in nature. As a guard, she is very alert and bold, will place herself between her master and any perceived threat and will gladly engage if the situation dictates.
Indie
Indie is a beautifully put together alano and shows all of the most desirable characteristics of the breed. She is a confident guard, agile and enthusiastic hunter, and affectionate with her own family. She is highly prey driven and would gladly hunt until she drops. She is full of drive and enthusiasm for life though is very happy to sit at her master’s side for a stroke. She moves very lightly with grace and power and moves at a high pace for extended periods with seeming ease and lack of fatigue. She is a slightly sharper guard than Bouda and is much more aloof with strangers. She is a very sociable dog and will play with new dogs without incident. She is very territorial and protective of her property, and will chase off so much as a bird.
