Our Alano Espanol’s are direct Spanish imports from the finest working lines, and represent one of the very few genuine working mastiff breeds in modern existence. They possess remarkable speed, agility and tenacity and excel in their given role, be it cattle control, hunting or guard. They are capable of great versatility and are very capable of performing in various canine sports to the highest level – Weight pull, agility, personal protection or schutzhund. more info
We do not breed for the show circuit, and strongly believe that doing so has been the demise of the working ability of many once great breeds. Our primary goal is functionality and will rather breed dogs that “are the part” rather than dogs that just “look the part”. We advise those who want their mastiffs just to be a show ring fancy to go elsewhere, though those who want a mastiff with genuine ability to hunt or to love and protect their family need look no further.
