Old Style Neopolitan Bitches
Our Bitches are chosen to reflect the style of Neopolotan I am trying to revive and maintain.
Bre
Bre is my most aloof neapolitan and is very protective. She will not allow strangers to encroach on her personal space and will not allow a stranger to touch her. She is very confident and although she will accept guests she will spend a while weighing them up before she welcomes them as friends. Once Bre has decided that she likes you….she "really" likes you. Extremely affectionate, and just wants endless strokes cuddles and kisses. She has by far the best personality of all of my neo's and is a true old type. She is very self-assured and is quick to investigate anything unusual and is more than happy to engage a threat. Physically she is very athletic and is a superb jumper. She is very alpha in personality and even tries to boss around the bigger females. She is very tight mouthed and only ever drools after tasty treats or after hard exercise. Her coat is close fitting all over and she has good tight eyes. Very hard mouthed and a proficient bone cruncher.
Caden
Caden is all muscle, and very tight coated. She is the most powerful female and is much more muscular than most males. Her neck, shoulders, back and rump are just phenomenal, and she has the most amazing jaws too. Her every movement is with power, physically I cannot fault her. She has the ability to jump up in the air with the vigour of a scrappy little terrier and she has superb agility. She is a very tough girl and throws her weight about with the other dogs, including the males though is very gentle with her 2-legged friends. She is a very affectionate girl and sticks to those she loves like glue - a very endearing quality.
She would gladly let loved ones stroke her all day long. In terms of guarding ability, she isn't the least bit aloof yet she is a good guard when a threat presents itself. Cadens appearance alone is a superb deterrent. She has pronounced territorial instincts and will not let anyone in unaccompanied. When it comes to fun, she loves nothing more than a good wrestle and a game of tug. Very tight mouthed, and a non-drooler apart from after drinking. She has the tightest eyes of all of my neo's.
Tia de la Pea Head
Tia is a gem, and my other half's personal favourite - she is super sweet natured and thinks she is a lap dog. She is also by far the most territorial of the girls and goes into full guard whenever she notices so much as a strange car parked within 50 yards of the property (heaven forbid a fox coming into the garden). She is a superb deterrent, and insists on her role as family protector. She is slightly aloof, though very quickly warms up to everybody. She is particularly fond of children and is very mothering in nature. Out of the property she is very friendly with everyone and not aloof in the slightest. She is very tight lipped and rarely drools if at all. She is very prey driven and will chase a laser light for hours alongside her son Titan with enthusiasm. Tia is also a very athletic female and loves to run, or go for jogs. She has been known to jump over the living room sofa in one jump on more than one occasion, and she has superb agility. She is very alert to everything going on and is very quick to announce anything strange.
Hera
Hera is a very high energy neapolitan with superb movement, she is powerfully built and moves assertively and self-assurance… she is also prone to act a bit of a goof now and then, and loves to play fetch. She is the most athletic of the neo's and has superb jumping ability that defies her large size; she can easily jump onto a high bench and loves the A-frame. We have not tested her highest jump yet but it is in excess of a whopping 4ft (guests are welcome to a display). She is very even tempered and out on the leash she considers everyone a friend. This said, she is extremely bold and when a threat presents itself she is more than happy to engage. She bonds very tightly to friends and takes everybody under her protection. Like the rest of my neo's she is good with all other well-behaved dogs. She has a very tight mouth and superb tight eyes. Hera would gladly spend all day chasing sticks or being stroked on the sofa.
Lexus
Lexus is a rustic female with a traditional neapolitan temperament; she is very aloof by nature and takes quite a while before she will accept new people. With guests she will watch them very closely, not taking her eyes off them and viewing them with suspicion, warning them if they act inappropriately. She is highly protective, yet respective of her master’s wishes, and although she will let it be known when she is unhappy with person’s actions, she would not act upon her feelings without command. As a property or object guard she is extremely alert and territorial and takes her role very seriously; For example, when in the 4x4 she will not tolerate people approaching the car without her masters command that its ok, and she will warn off other drivers if they drive too close to the car in traffic jams. She has had absolutely no training as a guard, and performs in the role instinctively as neo’s were once famed for doing. Once she has accepted a person as a member of her pack she will shower them with unlimited love and affection, and is possibly the sweetest dog I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, she is restrained and respectful of old and young people alike and is the model neapolitan. With other dogs she is remarkably well mannered and as long as they pose no threat to her loved ones she will play beautifully until they tire. She is a very obedient and trainable dog who is very keen to please her family, though pays absolutely no attention to commands from those outside of her circle. Physically she has superb tight eyes, correct jowls, tight cat like feet and superb thickness of skin and coat. She is heavily muscled with well-balanced proportions and it shows in her powerful stride and movement. When exercising Lexus moves with great speed and agility that belies her great stature and remarkably she is able to clear a 5ft fence with no training whatsoever. We thank Alex Geare emphatically for allowing us to have her, and we expect great things from this remarkable girl.
