Old Style Neopolitan Studs

Our studs are chosen to reflect the style of Neopolotan I am trying to revive and maintain.

Stone

Stone - Neo Stud Stone is a very powerful male with a very solid bone structure. He is heavily muscled and moves explosively. . His coat fits his body tightly though he has a pinch too much jowl for my tastes and will be best bred to tighter lipped females. He loves to run and can move at a great pace, with surprising agility and his movement is a pleasure to see. He is particularly fond of eyeing up visitors with a serious gaze then sprinting at them at break neck speed unnerving his poor "victim". At the last moment he always sidesteps with the grace of a seasoned rugby player to the relief of the person standing there, then tightly runs around their backs coming up on their other side for a good stroke. Despite his menacing appearance he behaves impeccably with guests that are introduced and once a relationship is established he has a very soft side to him (he loves to give big kisses), though he saves his love for friends and family. He is very territorial and is very quick to investigate anything new in his environment - a new flowerpot or unusual item in the garden can often be enough for him to put on a full protective display. He is fond of chasing squirrels, eating huge marrowbones and going for jogs. He behaves superbly on and off the lead as he wishes to walk to heal instinctively. Outside of the property he is aloof to strangers and ignores them completely unless they act in an unusual or threatening way when he will then make his presence known.

Titan

Titan - Neo Stud I bred Titan from Winston (a blue leggy male I owned who was solid and extremely athletic - he would run about for an hour or so with great ease) and Tia (a beautiful mahogany female -see Neo Bitches). He is a definite improvement on both parents as he has both of their strong points. He is going to be a big stud with a lot of power but still has a great deal of growing to do (he is already the same height as Winston). He guards instinctively when people approach the property but I have taught him to be daft as a brush with those we invite into the home. Like both of his parents his sweet side usually means that once introduced to guests he is their favourite. He has a great close fitting coat and nice tight feet. He is a very dominant personality yet is well behaved. He has lots of energy and will gladly run and jump all day. He is particularly fond of playing with Rocket, one of our Alanos, on the A-Frame I built and stealing fat balls from the bird table. He is a very mischievous dog with tonnes of character and strong territorial/protective instincts that are improving with age. Like his mother he is highly prey driven and will chase a laser pointer for ages.

Ti

Ti - Neo Stud Ti is physically a superb Neapolitan with fluid linear movement and powerful gait with well extended stride. He is well boned without being excessive, and he has a close fitting yet loosely attached coat with a characterful balance of wrinkle. He is an imposing dog with strong presence, serious expression and focused gaze. He is heavily muscled with broad powerful shoulders and a powerful rear end to match (something rarely found in modern neo’s, though crucial for correct powerful propulsion). His physique is natural and he maintains it even when he is not heavily worked, and it is usually the first thing that people comment on when they see him. He gives an impression of raw power and is frankly an intimidating sight to those who do not know him. He has the correct intelligent expression opposed to the modern droopy look, and his natural stance is with his head held high and alert rather than held low and lazily as has become the modern average. He is naturally very capable athletically and has very good speed and agility “well above” the average, though not quite on par with some of my bitches (Tia, Hera and Lexus), or Titan; Having said this, his capability for explosive power exceeds any of my neo’s and he is capable of jumping onto the bonnet of my Landrover with ease. He is a good guard with a ground shaking bark that seems to reverberate through ones chest, and only the most foolhardy of potential intruders could possibly not heed the warning. Socially he is very well behaved and happy to greet all well mannered strangers, he is particularly fond of children and enjoys their playful attention. He is very responsive to training and is usually walked off leash, though he still stands to heel correctly. He is by far the most dog friendly neo that I have come across and is totally absent of inter dog aggression, which I find to be a very desirable attribute. His energy levels are suited to a family environment, yet he is more than capable of going for jogs/runs on a regular basis. Ti is very handler focused and thrives on praise, for a pat on the head and an enthusiastic “good boy” he can be trained to do pretty much anything.

Rocco

Rocco - Neo Stud Rocco - Neo Stud Rocco is out of Bre and Stone and when mature will take over from his father as a stud. He is already showing strong guarding instincts and good nerves, with an obedient nature. He is without a doubt the most handsome neo that I own and he is turning out to be the most complete package that I have bred to date. He is energetic, enthusiastic, focused, obedient and alert. He is showing territorial and defencive instincts that surpass anything that I currently own, yet he is affectionate with all guests. Physically he has superb structure and looks like he is developing a powerful rear end. He is a stunning mahogany colour like Tia, with piercing light coloured eyes and a serious expression. He has a near perfect balance of skin/wrinkle for my tastes and he has spot on eyes – nice and tight, no haw visible, no irritations etc. He has a perfect scissor bite and very strong teeth with large canines. He is currently just 4.5 months (01/07/2007) and shows huge promise for such a young dog. I am paying special attention to how this one develops as I suspect he will develop into a superb stud.
